Amber Delaney
Amber graduated from Rider University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then attended Pace University obtaining a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She then attended Delaware Law earning her Juris Doctor.
Over the past 4 years as a member of the firm, Amber has been a talented advocate while meshing a wealth of legal experience with a therapeutic educational foundation. Prior to her bar admission, Amber worked in the mental health field for the State of New Jersey and then as a Paralegal for 7 years. Her work ethic was exemplified by the fact that she earned her Juris Doctor in the evening while working full time as a Paralegal.
Mrs. Delaney’s passion for the law began at the tender age of 8. She keeps in her office a card where her 4th grade teacher identifies her future as a lawyer and that fuels this passion daily and reminds her of the roots that have built her into the zealous advocate she is today.
This passion has materialized specifically in her decision to concentrate her practice in the field of family law, which is a perfect melding of her desire to help others while also staunchly fighting for justice and fairness.
Prior to joining our Firm, she worked at a firm specializing in civil law where she was the Supervising Attorney with both leadership responsibility and the burden of maintaining a full caseload. Her knowledge and practice of civil law as both a paraprofessional and attorney demanded the development of a meticulous attention to detail which has been invaluable in her practice of law today.
Since joining the firm, Amber has risen to the ranks of being the firm’s lead associate in the firm’s southern region. She has handled countless matters in the area of family law including, but not limited to, both contested and uncontested divorces, alimony termination matters, applications to relocate out of state, child support and custody matters, juvenile matters and along with contempt charges. She has resolved contested matters both in a trial setting along with the aid of a mediator. Her compassion for her clients and assertiveness in advocacy have been on display in nearly every county and nearly every setting.
In addition to the wealth of experience she has displayed in family law, Mrs. Delaney has been trial counsel on several civil jury trials that have gone to verdict. Her elite skills also have translated into her handling complex civil matters, criminal matters, municipal court matters, real estate closings along with business formations and disputes. As other ancillary actions inevitably stem from family law litigation, Mrs. Delaney’s diverse legal knowledge and depth of legal expertise are a necessity in navigating and resolving, in totality, all your legal matters.
Amber believes she and her peers should be amicable and approachable but aggressive when necessary. Amber is a member of the Ocean County Bar Association where she has volunteered to be part of their referral service for those in search of legal assistance. Not surprisingly, she is also an active member of the community. Her charitable efforts have been crucial through her support of the Elks Club, Fire Department, local school activities along with her child’s PTA plus and involvement in township sports programs.
When she is not advocating for her clients, she enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, and being on the water.
Amber is an Ocean County resident where she resides with her husband, children and fur babies.
